"Party time in Mexico, I see." He was not complaining about that. Gabriel watched Tyler, trying to imagine what the world must be like for him. It was an interesting exercise, honestly. "So you are scared of ghosts, right?" He certainly seemed it, talk of holy water and all that. "Why would you want proof they are real? Wouldn't that just freak you out even more?"
"Nah, I accepted it already so as spooky as it is, it's kind of cool. I mean, it's interesting from an afterlife perspective and it's just ... comforting. In a weird way. Scary and comforting at the same time. For me, the two go hand in hand. That's why Hellrasier is my comfort film." Tyler felt that ghosts meant there was something besides this life, which he liked, but also meant that sleep was going to get harder and harder.
"I mean, I'm scared of guns, killed bees and lions but they exist and I deal. So I'll deal with ghosts too."
"I guess as long as we are just looking for them to slam some doors, there's not that much to be scared of." Which, frankly, seemed to ask a bit much of any ghost he had ever encountered. They didn't typically have all that much awareness, for one thing. There were other things out there, but Gabriel was hoping to avoid those too. "We can banter and make your show a success." He gave him a thumbs up. "Nice to have plans on Friday night for a change."
He really had to work on that particular dry spell.
"Same. The babes are not biting lately, I'm also in a crazy dry spell. I made the mistake of dating in the office and I'm still regretting it but after work, a nightclub is just like... no." And yet, here he was. Post break up with a girl in the office and now he couldn't go anywhere near the south side of the studio without awkwardness. Mistakes were made, he would just have to deal.
"Friday, we won't be losers. We'll be ghost hunters. That's way cooler." In some ways... kinda?
"I haven't really dated since before I moved here." Never really dated someone who was just human. It was depressing, honestly. Although maybe still less awkward than having dated within the office and having that end badly. "But yeah. Come Friday, we will be King of the Nerds."
He was sure that was a giant babe magnet. Gabriel snorted and gently slapped Tyler's shoulder. "We can wingman each other some time. Maybe a ghost can help."
"My lack of game with women is supernatural, maybe we can get that on film." Tyler sighed and got to his feet, pulling his phone away and feeling better about his future. "We are going to have a good time. We are guaranteed a series of this so like six videos - so we'll get air time. Let's hope we get renewed."
But for now, he had to go and tell his bosses to stop looking, he had a replacement for Jack. He had Gabriel, he tended to do well with viewers and all. Should be perfect.
